He was predeceased by: his parents, Ulus Grant Burnette, Sr. and Iva Lee Mathis Burnette; his son Grant Burnette; and his sisters, Sandra and Celia.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Howell Burnette of Canton; his sons, Christopher Burnette of Canton and Forrest Burnette of Canton; his grandchildren, Jacob, Olivia (Evert), Joel and Yvette; his great grandchild Callan; and also Harley. He is also survived by several nieces, and also Papa.
