With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Lee Stanford (Canton, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2025 at the age of 67. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Robert may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his mother Eva Lee Brookshire Stanford; his siblings, Scott Stanford, Ann Camby and Donna Head; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Head and Walt Caldwell.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Stanford (Crystal) of Waynesville and Leanna Stanford of High Point; his grandson Dawson Ferguson; his siblings, Danny Stanford (Marie) of Canton and Cathy Caldwell of Waynesville; and his brother-in-law Martin Camby of Canton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and also great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home (1 N Main St, Canton, NC 28716). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Crawford (1 N Main St, Canton, NC 28716).
