It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Lee Davis of Canton, North Carolina, born in Madisonville, Tennessee, who passed away on November 3, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy John Davis and Mary Stiles Davis; his daughter Marcella Davis Kelly; and his brother W. T. Davis. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Silver Davis; his children, Richard Davis, Jr. (Maria Davis) and Sharon Davis Kolman of Chapel Hill; his grandchildren, Lillie Kolman, Imani Waltrip, Shanella Kelly and Jonathan Kelly (Kim); his great grandchildren, Liam Waltrip, Aurelia Kelly, Solara Kelly and Kourtney Kelly; and his siblings, Willie Mae "Billie" Mehaffey, Charles and Don. He is also survived by wife, children.
