He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Elijah and Christine Sisk Farmer; his wife Eleen Pressley Farmer; and his siblings, Leonard Farmer, Tulon Berry, Irene Murr and Vera Melican.
He is survived by: his sons, Ronald Farmer (Peggy) of Waynesville, Douglas Farmer of Canton and Dean Farmer (Karen) of Killen, Alabama. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1918 Murray Road, Canton, NC 28716.
