He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard Sayles and Loretha Burrell Sayles; and his wife Linda Gail Pressley Sayles. He is survived by: his children, Ricki Sayles Denton (John) of Canton and Allen Sayles (Paige) of Canton; his grandchildren, Ashley Payne (Tommy) of Canton and Justin Denton (Holly) of Canton; his stepdaughters, Tina Noland of Waynesville and Shannon Horne of Kings Mountain; his sister Barbara Metcalf (Keith) of Elberton, Georgia; and his great grandchildren, Samuel, Lawson, Kason and Jack.
