He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Filmore Adams and Bessie Hooper Adams. He is survived by: his wife Zelda Earley Adams; his children, Karen Adams Moore and Timothy Adams (Leanne); his grandchildren, Carrie Jamison (Mark), Kaitlin Moore and Madison Gales (Nathaniel); his great grandchildren, Jack and Maggie Jamison; and his brothers, Denton and Samuel Adams.
