He was predeceased by: his parents, Hezzicah C. Gibson and Lucille Ray Gibson; his wife Ruth Hatherlee Gibson; and his siblings, Marie Eckenrod, Josephine Gibson, Phyllis Rhinehart and Bobby Dean Gibson.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Fadler of Canton, Teresa Shaw (William) of Canton, Mike D. Hatherlee (Maxine) of Canton and Mickey Gibson of Canton; and his sister Loretta Moore of Clyde. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
