He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Head and Lassie Guffey Shuler; his wife Linda Benson Head; and his siblings, John Head, Velma Putnam and Mary Lou Putnam.
He is survived by: his sons, Kenny Head of Canton, Terry Head of Canton, Bobby Head of Canton, Ricky Head (Cheryl) of Candler and Michael Head (Tracy) of Waynesville; his grandsons, Seth Palmer, Matthew Head and Jeremiah McKinney; and his great grandchildren, Aiden and John Luke.
