She was predeceased by: her parents, R. Hardin Putnam and Hester Pressley Putnam; and her sons, Thomas Garland Benfield and Jessie Paris Benfield, Jr.. She is survived by: her siblings, Mae Pilkington, Ella Putnam, Ralph Putnam, Edith Setzer, Mary Wright, Ginny Putnam, James Putnam and Daniel Boone; and her daughter Judy Smith (Joseph). She is also survived by daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
