She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Mingus and Thelma Lee Trull; her husband Gudger Larkin Cagle, Jr.; her sons, Stephen, Stanley and Stuart Cagle; and her granddaughter Emily Shawn Payne.
She is survived by: her daughter Shannon Cagle Stokely (Fred); her siblings, Mary Ann Smith of Wilmington and Bennie Trull of Canton; and her grandchildren, Hayden, Lily, Olivia Payne and Abigail Stokely.
