He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Stamey and Alma Wilson Stamey; his wife Jean Stamey; and his siblings, Agnes Stamey, Beulah Stamey, Mary Hattie Keith, Viola Taylor, Martha Gant, Claude, Howard, Raymond and Ted Stamey.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Street (JR) of Rock Hill, SC, Suzette Pless (Daren) of Canton and James Stamey (Sue); his grandchildren, Zach Stamey of Canton, Steven Sorrells and Katy of Marion; and his brothers, Joe Bob Stamey of Canton and Carl Stamey of Canton.
