She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Mashburn and Allie Tabor Mashburn; and her sister Donnie Trantham. She is survived by: her husband Richard Messer; her children, Scotty Messer (Pam) of Cruso, Tammy Messer McCall (Tim) of Penrose and Reverend Anthony Messer (Anna) of Bethel; her siblings, Leona Burnette of Bethel, Doris Pressley of Bethel, DeAnne Noland of Mt. Airy, GA, Darlene Long of Cruso, Kathy Clark of Bethel and J. L. Mashburn of Burlington; her grandchildren, Craig Messer, Nick Messer, Jasmann Messer Deane, Allie Messer, Adam Messer, Brieanna McCall, Ross McCall and Sam McCall; and her great grandchildren, Lydia Hipps, Sarah Hipps, Caleb Hipps, Chesney Messer and Presley Messer.
