He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Shuler and Maime Smith Shuler. He is survived by: his wife Barbara P. Shuler; his grandchildren, Hollie Reid, Mariah Reid, Adddison Wemyss and Dillon Wemyss (Karlie); and his siblings, Bobbie Jo Amos (Larue), Carolyn Osborne and Harry Shuler.
