He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Welder Laxton and Ellene Smith Laxton; his former wife Kathy Lynn Frady Laxton; his brother Robert Dennis Laxton (Bobby); his grandparents, Oney Beach Laxton (Sara Eliza) and Robert Forest Sr. Smith (Ophelia); his uncle R. F. Jr. Smith (Faye); his cousins, Robert Forest Smith III and John B Smith III; and his stepmother Margaret Elizabeth Laxon.
He is survived by: his wife Princelen Laxton (Honey); his stepsiblings, Michael Runion of Lenoir, N. C., Sharon Sherrill (Ray) of Lenoir, N. C., Debbie Clark (Gene) of Lenoir, N. C., Sandra Watson (Dinky) of Lenoir, N. C., Pam Holsclaw (Michael) of Lenoir, N. C. and Lisa Huffman (Paul) of Hampstead, N. C.; and his cousins, Rachel Miller (David), Rebecca Faye Galli of Maryland, Barbara Smith, Doug Seese of Taylorsville, N. C., Hattie Riemke, Debbie Riemke, Rita Martin of Chattanooga Tenn, Beverly Brooks of Hickory, N. C., Tammy Townsend and Lorraine Carpenter of Lenoir, N. C.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the North Catawba Baptist Church (1596 N Catawba Church Ave, Lenoir, NC 28645).
