We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2021, at the age of 81, Hoyt Wilson Mason of Canton, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Hoyt Wilson Mason to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis "Tip" Mason and Shirley Henslee Mason; and his siblings, Max Mason and Peggy Mason. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Oneida Mason; his children, Rick Mason (Jessica) of Knoxville, TN, Randy Mason (Cammy) of Waynesville, Pam Reece (Butch) of Canton and Tina Tuten (Galen) of Canton; his grandchildren, David Smith of Canton, Keil Smith (Emilina) of Asheville, Amber Golden (Matt) of Canton, Savanna Mason of Canton and Trenton Mason of Asheville; his stepgrandchildren, Melissa Chambers (Cody) of Asheville, Morgan Tuten (Jesse) of Canton, Matthew Tuten (Lauren) of Clyde, Jay Schreiber of Waynesville and Annika Schreiber of Waynesville; his great grandchildren, Harper, Abel Golden, Belle, Leland, Sheldon Denton, Ari Camacho and Jordan Chambers; his siblings, Troy Mason (Donna) and Patsy Rogers (Jimmy); and his sister-in-law Shelby Mason. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions it is required that masks be worn and social distancing observed during the service.
In lieu of flowers Hoyt had requested that donations be made to: WMU Craft Ministry at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 261 Dix Creek Road, Canton, NC 28716.
