He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Frank Sorrells, Sr. and Ruth Chambers Sorrells; his wife Maxine Browning Sorrells; and his siblings, Edna Bateman, Lewis, Wayne and Vernon Sorrells.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Swanger of Bethel, Dale Sorrells (Jan) of Mills River and Steve Sorrells (Phyllis) of Bethel; his grandchildren, Jeremy Wilson, Melanie Brookshire, Jeanna Johnston, April Bryson, Robin Reeves, Joshua Sorrells, Lucas Sorrells and Lea Sorrells; and his great grandchildren, Brady, Dillon, Isabella, Emma, Brock, Joy, Hope, Forrest, Dalton, Sawyer, Ava, Ben, Jake, Alexis, Aaron and Heidi.
Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing will be observed.
