It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Parham Carter (Canton, North Carolina), who passed away on October 17, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Spc5 John Alfred Carter; her parents, Lloyd Parham and Ruth Cabe Parham; and her brother Lloyd Parham. She is survived by: her sisters, Madge Rathbone, Ruth James, Ruby Vanhook, Virginia Duckett and Emma Lou Saxton; her great grandchildren, Lyla Lynn Labossier and Noah Carter; her son-in-law Alan Washabaugh; her pet Tiny; her children, Marshall Carter (Inga), Joey Carter (Kelly), Robert Carter (Lana), Frances Carter Thomas (Bruce), Annette Carter Washabaugh and Julia Rosales (Victor); her siblings, James Parham (Dot) and Winifred Henderson; her grandchildren, Robbie Carter (Angela), Brandon Carter (Andrea), Chad Fox (Bonnie), Casey Washabaugh (Brittany), Shane Carter (Holly), Steven Carter, Matthew Carter Calvin (Christy), Victor Rosales, Michelle Carter, Samantha Norris (Gage), Alli Gheesling, Jovannah Gaytan (Abraham), Ashley, Christina Washabaugh, Jon and Daniel Ross; and her pet Bubba. She is also survived by 43 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews.
