He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Richard Atkinson; and his grandson Michael Christy. He is survived by: his spouse Marvina Dupree Lodge; his children, Elwood Lodge, III of Canton, NC and Lynelle Christy (Kit) of Jacksonville, Florida; his sister Jennifer Atkinson of Camilla, Georgia; and his granddaughters, Amanda Lodge of Simpsonville, SC, Michelle Johnston (John) of Woodruff, SC, Jackie Wallace (Robert) of Jacksonville and Jessica Lodge of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
