He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Chambers and Genevieve Long Chambers; and his siblings, Johnny, Harold, Bill and Norma Jean.
He is survived by: his wife Leta Reece Chambers; his daughters, Karen Bromby (Eric) and Darlene Dills (Charles "Foozie"); his grandchildren, Shayne Wheeler (Linton), Charles Dills (Lindsey), Taylor Campbell (Richard) and Hunter Bromby (Madison); and his great grandchildren, Drayan Dills, Taygun Dills and Judah Campbell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Sam Chambers to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
