Earnest Franklin Gentry Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 27, 2025, at the age of 86, Earnest Franklin Gentry (Canton, North Carolina), born in Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Earnest had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Earnest may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Karstens; his children, Ed (Anne), Eric (Heather), Tom and Elisa (George Berry); and his brother Grover Gentry. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Crestview Baptist Church (3258 Pisgah Dr, Canton, NC 28716).
