He was predeceased by: his parents, Zade Rice and Texa Hunter Rice; his wife Joann P. Rice; and his siblings, Norma Rice and Morris Rice.
He is survived by: his sons, Donald Howell Rice (Terry) of Candler and David Hunter Rice (Tessa) of Canton; his sister Brenda Ammons of Mars Hill; his grandchildren, Beauford Rice (Jennifer) and Kaleb Rice (Brittney); and his great grandchildren, Zade, Hunter and Macrae Rice.
