He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Nelson Henson and Inez Cogburn Henson; and his significant other Barbara "Bob" Smith Henson. He is survived by: his children, Gary Henson (Kim), Becky Carver (Kevin Batson), Larry Henson (Alicia) and Roger Henson (Debora); his grandchildren, April Henson, Aaron Henson (Brittania), Amber Boyer (Andy), Heidi Lanning (Chad), Christopher Carver, Keisha Jackson, Kasey Brooks (Andrew), Cody Henson (Anna), Brittany Henson (Noah) and Blake Henson; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Colin, Kinley, Alivia, Kaila, David, Eli, Allee, Conner, Layla, Nellie, Eland, Lane, Eldon, Eldridge, Callahan, Case and Cori; his siblings, Carroll Henson (Jessie) and Mary Ann Blazer (Gene); and also, Aaron, Cody, Blake, Christopher, Andy and Noah.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bible Baptist Church (203 Bible Baptist Dr, Waynesville, NC 28786). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
