He was predeceased by: his parents, George William "Bill" Hyatt and Madeline Goolsby Hyatt; his wife Joann Teague; and the mother of his children Susan Medford Hyatt. He is survived by: his children, Wendy Hyatt of Canton and Ryan Hyatt (Jennifer) of Clyde; his granddaughter Emma; his stepson Stanley Pressley of Clemson, SC; and his brothers, Russell Hyatt (Megan) of Greer, SC, Jeff Hyatt (Vickie) of Canton and Marty Hyatt (Janet) of Canton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home (1 N Main St, Canton, NC 28716). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Crawford (1 N Main St, Canton, NC 28716).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in David's memory to Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation, 256B Industrial Park Drive, Waynesville, NC 28786.
