We bid farewell to Darlene Summey Burnette (Canton, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 30, 2024 at the age of 66. Darlene Summey touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Edward Summey and Hazel Ledbetter Summey; her sister Diane Lowe; her niece Tabitha Scurry; her son-in-law Mark Putnam; and her mother-in-law Mary Brown.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bobby" Burnette of Canton; her children, Jennifer Putnam of Canton and Joshua Burnette (Christy) of Canton; her siblings, Linda Pruett (Ken) of Canton, Michael Summey (Glynis) of Canton and Dewayne Summey (Nick) of Canton; and her grandchildren, Garren, Allie, Nichole, Hannah and Gage. She is also survived by six great grand-children and many dear friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Long Branch Missionary Baptist Church (25 Homestead Trail, Canton, NC 28716).
