He was predeceased by: his mother Joanna Neal Penland; and his sister Debbie Deal. He is survived by: his father Lewis Swanger; his wife Freda Swanger of Canton; his siblings, Darrell Swanger (Dani), Greg Swanger (Lety), David Swanger (Jessica) and Amy Wilde (George); his children, Ty Swanger (Kim) and Carla Gibson (Ryan); his grandchildren, Devon Swanger (Amanda), Hunter Swanger (Breanna), Kenzie Gibson and Gracie Gibson; his great grandchild Aldo Tell Swanger; and also Nathan Clark. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crestview Baptist Church Youth or Pisgah High School Wrestling.
