He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Jackson and Mildred Jerome Hargett Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Sue Kelley Jackson; and his sons, Bobby Wayne Jackson, Jr. of Asheville and Charles Edward Jackson (Mary) of Hendersonville, Tennessee. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
