Lex Poole Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lex Poole (Candor, North Carolina), born in Troy, North Carolina, who passed away on May 17th 2004, at the age of 96. He was born on May 19th 1907 to Lillie Blanche Rush Poole and Daniel James Poole. In Addition to his Parents, he was preceded in death by his Daughter, Edna Mae Poole Blake.

He was survived by his Wife of over 70 years, Stella Ruth Kelly Poole. He is also survived by 9 children: Edward Poole and wife Gathy of Norwood, NC, Chester Poole of Candor, NC, Harold Poole of Polkton, NC, Dudley Poole of Troy, NC, Melvin Poole and wife Kaye of Oakboro, NC, Clara Poole Brigman and husband Jimmy of Rockingham, NC, Alvis Poole Goforth and husband Grady of Candor, NC, Viola Poole Ewing and husband George of Rockingham, NC and Vonnie Poole Helms and husband Steve of Mt. Gilead, NC. He is also survived by Grandchildren: David Goforth and wife Renee of Rockwell, NC, Bonita Goforth Johnson and husband Gray of Greensboro, NC, Dale Goforth and wife Renita of Troy, NC, Belinda Goforth Stuart and husband Bill of Candor, NC, Bonnie Goforth Knox and husband Roger of Louisburg, NC, Clay Ewing and wife Melissa of Rockingham, NC, Anthony and John Dire Ewing of Rockingham, NC, Polly Brigman Everett and husband Kenneth of Rockingham, NC, John Brigman of Ellerbe, NC and Christian Brigman of Ellerbe, NC.

And his Great- Grandchildren; Kelly Everett of Rockingham, NC, Christin Brigman and Amber Brigman, both of Rockingham, NC. Just to name a few. He is buried in Sharon Cemetery in Mt. Gilead, NC.
