She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Alvin and Stella Gardner Bowles; her husband Foy McDonald; and her siblings, Alvin Bowles, Annie Lou McLendon and Joyce Lee Bowles.
She is survived by: her son Leon McDonald (Elaine) of Candor; her grandson Michael McDonald (Holly) of Troy; and her siblings, Rayvon (Louise) of Mt. Gilead, Harvey Bowles (Sandra) of Mt. Gilead and Clara Hudson of Albemarle. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery (5159 Pekin Rd, Candor, NC 27229).
