It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne L. Searcy (Candler, North Carolina), born in Henderson, North Carolina, who passed away on September 20, 2019, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Searcy and Margie Gasperson Searcy; and his brother Charles Searcy. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Hensley Searcy; his children, Leavon Searcy (Mary) of Candler, Ricky Searcy (Katie) of Knoxville, TN and Tina Wright (David) of Chesapeake, VA; his grandchildren, Martin Searcy, Chris Searcy (Sammy), Angelica Phillips (Cody), Tim Searcy, Jessica Mace (Bobby), Cheyenne Wright (Cullen), Samantha Wright, Caitlyn Wright, Tyler Searcy and Jeffery Searcy; his great grandchildren, Addison Searcy, Walker Searcy, Brayden Phillips, James Mace, Daphne Phillips, Dallas Searcy, Mason Wright, Alex Mace and Eliza Phillips; his brothers, Robert Searcy (Patty) of Candler, Lloyd Searcy of Bent Creek and Mike Searcy (Barbara) of Old Fort; and his sister-in-law Joyce Searcy of Hendersonville.
