He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Battle and Margaret Jackson Battle. He is survived by: his wife Frankie Muse Battle; his children, Tommy (Erica) of Candler and Lisa Brittian (T. G.) of Asheville; his grandchildren, Crissy Battle (Elijah), Christopher Brittian (Elisabeth), Kimberly Evans (Michael), Michael Brittian (Kerri) and Thomas Battle; his stepgrandson William Claybroook (Emily); and his great grandchildren, Sam Davis, Noah, Jude, Willow Evans and Vera Battle.
