It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sue Brendle Sams (Candler, North Carolina), born in Jackson, North Carolina, who passed away on December 30, 2018, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James D. Sams, Jr.; and her sibling Myrtle Wofford of Wetumpka, AL. She is survived by: her siblings, Joyce Meadows (Mike) of Greeneville, TN, Deryl Brendle (Patricia) of Houlka, MS and Pauline Terrell (Phil) of Franklin, NC; her friend Tom Stranberg of Candler, NC; her godson Aaron Stranberg (Teresa) of St. Thomas, USV; and her brother-in-law Johnny Sams of Candler, NC. She is also survived by special friends and caregivers, Sheri Barker and Bill Rhodes; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
