It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sherry Morrow Sheilds of Candler, North Carolina, who passed away on April 1, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Nelson and Paul Morrow; her stepfather David Harrison; her sister Paula Morrow; and her granddaughter Mattie Shields.
She is survived by: her husband Newton Donald Shields; her children, Heather Shields (Angela Shields Langford) of Franklin and Wes Shields (Laura) of Vero Beach, FL.; her grandchildren, Maya, Leigh Langford, Emma, Cody and Tucker Shields; her half-sisters, Cynthia Gorski and Nancy Pawelczyk; and her caregivers, Peggy Lackey and Sherry.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Luke's Espicopal Church (219 Chunns Cove Rd, Asheville, NC 28805).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Asheville and DayStay Adult Day Care at Hominy Baptist Church.
