It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Michael Sexton of Candler, North Carolina, born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 20, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Sexton and Louise Stephenson Sexton; and his wife Betty Clarida Sexton. He is survived by: his children, Paul Sexton (Cindi) of Bellevue, WA, Robin Smith (Charles) of Candler, Ruth Rash (Allen) of Candler and Jean Sexton of Candler; his grandsons, Levi Smith of Candler and Liam Sexton of San Diego, CA; and his close friend Mary Ann Gardner of Weaverville.
