She is survived by: her husband Harry Ray Powell; her children, Karen Gilliam (Roger) of Morganton, NC and Jeff Powell (Melba) of Candler, NC; her granddaughters, Andrea Gilliam (Matt) of Candler and Allison Hicks; and her great grandchildren, Jaxon and Judson Hicks.
