It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Penland (Candler, North Carolina), who passed away on September 13, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Lloyd Penland; her parents, Oscar Beachboard and Chetta Lanning Beachboard; and her siblings, Wayne, Hubert, Ray Beachboard, Eva Mae Sisk, Pansy Rhodes and Barbara Conard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Penland Hilton (Bruce) of Candler, Jennifer Penland Hensley (Mark) of Candler and Amy Penland Judd (Jamie) of Candler; her brother Herbert Beachboard (Dixie) of Candler; her grandchildren, Andrea Whitt (David), Tommy Tomlinson, Lisa Story (Craig), Lorna Hollifield (Kimsey), Nicole Hensley, Grayson Hensley, Avery Judd and Emma Judd; and her great grandchildren, Christopher Riddle, Andrew Riddle, Madison Whitt and Evan Gough. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
