He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Sams and Hannah Ball Sams; his granddaughter Tiffany; and his brother-in-law Larry Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kay Chambers Sams; his son Dennis Fairchild (Cyndy) of Anderson, SC; his grandson Gage; and his siblings, Peggy Taylor of Candler, Linda Zentz (Bob) of Marshall, Virginia and Freddie Sams (Lois) of Candler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends.
