With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Eugene Austin of Candler, North Carolina, who passed away on September 29, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Austin and Meta Ingle Austin; and his siblings, Wilma "Tootsie" Miller, Mary Frances Roberts, Kathleen Fish (late Jerry Fish), Paul Austin and Don Austin.
He is survived by: his brother Mitchell Warren; his wife Linda Jameson Austin; his children, Jody Austin (Jennifer), Stephanie Warren (Ricky) of Candler and Janelle Henson (Jason) of Candler; his grandchildren, Megan Hipp (Dillon), Mitchell Warren (Brianna), Riley Henson, Clayton Austin, Tucker Austin, Lilly Austin, Mikayla Carter and Jacob Carter; his great grandchildren, Lillie Belle Hipp, Dolly Mae Warren and Solomon McClellan; his siblings, Doris Revis (Jerry) and George Austin (Gail); and his caregivers, Nick, Roxy and Linda.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions directly benefiting that fund be made to Linda Austin, 128 Meadowbrook Acres, Candler, NC 28715.
