He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Howard Holmes, Sr. and Lydia Mashburn Holmes; and his grandson Caleb Cantrell. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Reep Holmes; his sons, Brandon Roy Holmes (Nora Lynn), Bill Cantrell (Kim) and Roger Dale Emory (Kathy); and his siblings, Sandra Bailey, Betty Young (Harold), Larry Holmes (Diane) and James Holmes (Becky). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
