He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Shorter, Sr. and Mary Kate Shorter; his brother Woodrow Shorter, Jr.; his daughters, Kimberly Dawn Shorter Navetta and Sherry Ann Land; his grandson Michael Stephen Navetta, II; and his brother-in-law Nolan Bryson White.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his grandchildren, Ann Marie LaPointe (Edmund), Nikki Wisecarver (Jay) and Page Land; and his great grandchildren, Kara, Sydney, Weston Meyer and Susie Wisecarver.
