He was predeceased by: his parents, James Walter Jenkins, Sr. and Grace Rathbone Jenkins; his wife Eugenia "Jean" Jenkins; his grandson Eric Bryant; and his brother Johnny Jenkins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Bryant (Edward) of Lake Junaluska and Janna Jenkins of Weaverville; his grandson Brian West of Weaverville; and his sisters, Carolyn Haney (Mike), Virginia "Ginny" Underwood (James) and Catherine Jaynes (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
