She was predeceased by: her parents, Bud Marshall Evans and June Cordelia Austin Evans; her husband Carroll Eugene Messer, Sr.; and her brother Bud Evans. She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Trull (Keith) of Candler, Carroll Eugene Messer, Jr. of Candler and Gerald Eugene Messer (Susie) of Weaverville; her sister-in-law Wanda Evans of Woodfin; and her grandchildren, Sabrina, Gene, Anthony, Wendy, Jennifer and Heather. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
