He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldridge George and Leila Moore Goodson; his daughters, Rhonda Gail Rose and Pamela Darlene McAllister; his grandson Joseph "Joey" Goodson (Chuck Webster); and his brother David George Goodson.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Childers Goodson; his sister Wanda Mintz (Harold) of Candler; and his children, Stephanie Elaine Houck (Dale) of Greeneville, TN, Randall Eldridge Goodson (Dawn) of Candler, David Ray Ragan (Amy) of Brevard and Eugene Edwin Goodson (Kathy) of Lincolnton, NC. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
