He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Allison and Edith Hudgins Allison; and his siblings, Elizabeth "Lib" Cook, Howard Allison, Bobby Allison and Billy Allison.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Allison; and his children, Sheila Allison of Charlotte, Lynette Allison of Charlotte, Loretta Bumgarner (Willie) of Canton, Tammy Scott of Enka and Tony Robertson (Samantha) of Fletcher. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
