She was predeceased by: her father William Clyde Messer; and her brother Mike Messer. She is survived by: her mother Edith Vance Messer; her husband Scotty James Dorlan; her siblings, David Messer (Pat) and Vickie Childers (Morris); her brother-in-law Keith Dorlan (Brandi); her nephews, Bradley Messer (Sarina), Christopher Childers, Anthony Dorlan (Grayson) and Dillian Dorlan (Megan); her niece Sarah Hampton (Johnny); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Tucker, Phoenix, Silas Messer, Georgia Dorlan, Myles Dorlan, Johnathan and Claudia Hampton.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church (216 Shelburne Rd, Asheville, NC 28806).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 216 Shelburne Rd. Asheville, NC 28806 or St Jude Children's Hospital.
