With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Demsey Whitaker Sr. of Candler, North Carolina, who passed away on March 8, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Whitaker, Sr. and Clara Whitaker-Barton; and his children, Ronald Belcher, Desiree Whitaker Belcher, Wilburn Belcher and Eugene D. Whitaker.
He is survived by: his stepfather Leamon Barton; and his children, Demsey (Kerry), Brandi, Nicolle (Bruce), Wyndi, James, Virginia (Frank), Chris, Patrick, Leamon and Holly. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
