He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl W. Shook, Sr. and Ruth Barnes Shook. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Shook; his son William Michael Shook of Candler; his sisters, Fay Brown of Asheville and Linda Blankenship (Roger) of Knoxville, TN; his granddaughter Brandy Shook; his great grandchild Weston James Wilson; and his aunt Jean Sherlin of Asheville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
