He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank C. Rice and Pauline Ray Browning; and his siblings, Barbara Robinson and Neil Rice. He is survived by: his friend Dewey Ford; and his sisters, Darlene Honeycutt of Asheville, Ruth Penland of Asheville and Ruby Honeycutt (Don) of Fletcher. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
