He was predeceased by: his father Leo Jack Matthews; and his brother Christopher L. Matthews. He is survived by: his mother Monica S. Matthews; and his brothers, Timothy M. Matthews and Mark R. Matthews. He is also survived by four nieces and one nephew; and by other extended family members and friends.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (768 Asbury Rd, Candler, NC 28715).
