He was predeceased by: his parent Benjamin Garren; his wife Ruth Taylor Garren; his sisters, Bertha G. Burkhart Margaret and Penland (Sam); and his brother-in-law Lee Taylor (Margaret).
He is survived by: his parent Avis Patton Garren; his children, Wayne Garren, Charles Garren (Angela) and Teresa G. Fitch (Jerry); his grandchildren, David Garren (Brandy), Misti Garren, Stephanie G. Lefevre (Nate), Stacy Garren, Samantha F. Moore (Chris), Candace Fitch and Stephen Garren; his great grandchildren, Justin, Sabrina, Selene, Aliyah, Addison, Austin and Shelby; and his siblings-in-law, Roy (Helen), Marvin (Becky), Rosie and Barbara (Neil). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
