She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richmond Pearson Gordon and Pearl Webb Gordon; her husband James Thomas Turpin; her daughters, Brenda Farmer (Mark) of Lilburn, GA, Betsy Crawford (Scott) of Asheville, NC and Beverly Garcia (John) of Hillsborough, NC; her grandchildren, Drew Farmer, Bethany Farmer, Hannah Crawford, Mitchell Crawford, Brandon Garcia and Laura Garcia; her sister Wilma Lindsey of Asheville, NC; and her brother-in-law Zeb Turpin (Allie) of Brevard, NC..
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara's memory to Snow Hill United Methodist Church or the Daily Bread Program at Hominy Baptist Church, both of Candler, NC.
